Military Family Support Forum

The Military Family Support Forum is a free monthly program for family members of OEF/OIF/OND service members or veterans. Spouses, significant others, children, parents, siblings, and other relatives are welcome. Each Forum session includes a presentation on a topic of interest followed by an opportunity to connect with other families through a facilitated discussion. The Forum includes a separate program for children.

Military Partners and Families Coaltion

Military Partners and Families Coalition (MPFC) is a private non-profit non-partisan organization based in Washington, D.C. It was founded in 2011 by a group of partners of active duty U.S. Armed Forces service members stationed in the U.S. and overseas. MPFC provides support, resources, education and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender military partners and their families.

Team Red, White & Blue’s (Team RWB) vision is to transform the way wounded veterans are reintegrated into society when they return from combat and exit their position.

This group connects Veterans and their friends and family members with information, resources, and solutions to issues affecting their health, well-being, and everyday lives. InGear

In Gear seeks to address specific needs of spouses whose professional career trajectories are interrupted by frequent moves and deployments. They provide a forum for community support, information-sharing, and mentoring that addresses the unique challenges and strengths of the career-minded military spouse.

Servicemembers Legal Defense Network

SLDN provides free and direct legal assistance to service members affected by discrimination or harassment based on sexual orientation or gender identity. SLDN works to ensure that evenhanded policies and regulations, providing equal treatment and opportunity for all, are established and effectively implemented in the armed forces.

The National Military Family Association is a membership organization with strong grassroots support balanced with professionalism. The Association strives to meet the needs of service members and their families with insightful recommendations, innovative programs, and grassroots efforts to better the quality of life for military families.

The ROA’s Service Members Law Center offers expert legal info on USERRA, SCRA, military voting rights and other legal issues that are important to citizen warriors.
